Citizens and Friends of Cantha,
Emperor Kisu requires the pleasure of your company at this year's annual Dragon Festival. The modern Dragon Festival commemorates all the trials and hardships that have threatened the Empire over the centuries, and honors the heroes who overcame them. Join your fellow adventurers at the Shing Jea Monastery during the July 4th weekend to celebrate Cantha's glorious history and its even more promising future.
Welcome to the Dragon Festival 2008 Warrior's Isle HQ! First of all, let's get to you the most important information: what you will see and do at the event this year.
- Same as in previous years, the Shing Jea Boardwalk, Dragon Arena, and the Rollerbeetle Races will be open for your enjoyment. You can win Victory Tokens by playing each of these events. Also, for each win, you gain points towards your Gamer Title.
- Victory Tokens can be traded for special event items, ranging from alcoholic beverages, to items that give you a bit of a sugar high.
- The Gamer Title can be acquired by playing the Events. Each game offers a different amount of points per win, and the first displayable title is at 1,000 points.
- The following is a brief explanation of each game event:
- The Shing Jea Boardwalk is a game of luck. You buy tickets, and stand on a circle. Based off if you win or not, you gain or lose those tickets. This also works towards your Lucky and Unlucky Titles, depending on if you win or lose.
- The Dragon Arena is a special PvP battle arena. You are given special Dragon Festival skills that one hit kill your oponent if it hits. This game is all about skill and timing.
- Rollerbeetle Races are the newest game to be added to the Festival. When you enter, you are transformed into a Rollerbeetle, and can participate in special races. You are also given a special skill set for this event as well.

- Every day of the Festival, at certain times, a Call to Arms will go out to everyone to participate in special reenactment missions of famous key battles in Canthan history. There are seven in total, and are spread across Friday through Sunday.
- On Sunday, Emperor Kisu will make an appearance every two hours in Shing Jea Monastery to reward all players who have collected 250 Victory Tokens with a special, unique Demonic Mask that can only be acquired from this event.
Now that you know what there is to do, and how to do it, it's time to go and enjoy it, starting Thursday at noon PDT! Please feel free to take many screenshots and video to post here from the Festival, and remember, it's all about having fun, so have a great time!
